Vinyl Valentine Day Wreath – DIY

As February fast approaches, I figured it was high time I put away the Christmas Wreath and dug out my Heart Shaped Valentine wreath. This was one of my favorite projects from 2015 so I thought I’d repost it. It is an easy DIY project that you could definitely get made before February 14.

I love Valentine’s Day but I always love to save money and make crafts as frugally and as easily as I can:).  I had already been to my local Dollar Tree to purchase some items for my Valentine Tablescape, which included some thin vinyl tablecloths.

To make the heart shape wreath pictured above, you will need:

Vinyl Tablecloth Envelope Pillow

FullSizeRender (12)

This cute little pillow is made from a flannel backed tablecloth, the type you can buy at any Dollarama or Walmart. This is easy and very inexpensive to make.

The weather here in my part of the country tends to change if you turn around or blink your eyes …lol so I came up with this idea as I wanted a pillow that was economical and one that  I could leave outdoors and not worry to much about ruining it if it got wet.

I decided to give one of these away on my Facebook page and promised to put the tutorial on this blog. …

Day 8: Vinyl Serving Bowls

WELCOME TO DAY 8 OF MY 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS DECORATING, CRAFT AND GIFT IDEA CHALLENGE.

What do Roseanne Cash, Janie Fricke and Tina Turner (vinyl LP)have in common in my household??

They became serving bowls for some of my christmas goodies!!!

Remember the vinyl records I picked up at the “Use it or Lose it” event (I’ve mentioned a few times before…) one of them turned into my Vinyl Snowman wall hanging (see below) and three more became serving bowls.

There are lots of tutorials on-line to melt vinyl LP records into various objects. Here is a link to the one I used and pretty much followed it to the letter. …

In October I shared with you some of the awesome things I picked up at a “Use It or Lose It” event for” free” in a town nearby. One of those things was some old vinyl LP records.

I first saw this idea on Grassy Branch Farm’s Etsy Shop and wanted to order one but unfortunately she was unable to ship to Canada.
