February2026: Finding Rhythm in the Shift

Welcome back to the blog!

After sharing my mid-February recap, I wanted to circle back and wrap up the month as a whole. February felt like a season of adjusting and re-prioritizing. Even so, I found comfort in familiar rhythms — creating, sourcing, selling — the steady things that keep my hands busy and my vintage-loving heart happy.

Here’s what February looked like behind the scenes.

🎨 What I Made

I worked with my hands a lot this month… just not in my craft room.

Instead, I traded glue guns and paper for primer and paint. I started freshening up the upstairs closet and ripped up the carpet in the guest bedroom. That room is slowly but surely transforming into my future sewing and rug hooking space — and I am so excited about it. It’s messy now, but I can already picture fabric stacks, wool strips, and creative chaos in the best way.

Sometimes creating looks like paint rollers and subfloor.

Birthday Calendar Gifts

Mid-month, I shared the desk calendar I made for my mom’s 85th birthday. I loved the process so much — especially carving out a few hours to play with my Cricut — that I kept going.

I ended up making two more desk calendars:

  • One for my sister’s birthday

  • And one for myself

There’s something about handmade gifts that feels extra meaningful. Plus, once you’re already in “Cricut mode,” you might as well keep cutting.

🛍️ Back to Sourcing (Gently)

As I mentioned in my last post, I had managed two days of sourcing before publishing it. I was grateful to squeeze in two more thrift and vintage hunting days before February wrapped up — one of them being a little 2.5-hour road trip.

We started the day properly with breakfast at the Whistle Stop Cafe to build stamina. Thrifting requires fuel, after all. It felt really good to be back in the swing of things — scanning racks, checking labels, flipping tags, and feeling that little spark when something special appears.

And February delivered a few sparks.

The Finds

The first piece that jumped into my cart (after a very quick price check) was a pair of authentic Orange Tab wide leg bib overalls from the 1970s by Levi Strauss & Co.. The second I saw them, I said, “I’ll take them.” Then I checked the price — $15. Yes please. A similar pair recently sold on Etsy for $499. I currently have mine listed at $399.98.

Keeping in line with vintage clothing, I found a pair of Ditrani Designs bib ski pants that absolutely scream 80s. These were $2.00 (I love that number). I have them listed for $60.

It was clearly a bib kind of thrifting day because a pair of Vintage Big Al men’s train conductor overalls — still with tags — also made it into my cart. I paid $15 and have them listed for $90.

My lovely assistant held them up so I could capture the full essence of these big boys. Teamwork makes the resale dream work.

Did I sell anything else in February?

I had 11 sales in total, which I consider a solid win as a casual reseller. Some pieces move quickly. Others… take the scenic route.

The pom-pom sandals and the pink golf shorts each took about a year and a half to sell. That’s okay. I’m definitely in this for the long game. Not every item is a sprint — some are slow burns that just need the right buyer to wander in at the right time.

And honestly? There’s something satisfying about that too.

March feels like a “clear the corners and start fresh” kind of month.

If you’ve been thinking about:

  • Organizing your inventory

  • Listing those pieces you’ve been meaning to photograph

  • Starting a small creative project

  • Or finally tackling that room that’s been whispering your name

Consider this your gentle nudge.

Let’s make March the month we move something forward — even if it’s just one small step.

I’ll be sharing more sourcing finds, studio progress, and resale updates as the month unfolds. Make sure you’re subscribed so you don’t miss what’s next.

Warmly yours,
Wanda, xo ✂️🧶
