Day 2-6 Days of Giftspiration: Unique and Thrifty Gift Ideas

Welcome to Day 2 of 6 Days of Giftspiration: Unique and Thrifty Gift Ideas

If you are new here and you missed Day 1 of Giftspiration make sure you go back and give it a read, you’ll want to stay up to date so you don’t miss any great ideas.

In a world where sustainability and creativity go hand in hand, these gifts are not only eco-friendly but also brimming with charm and nostalgia. Whether you’re looking for inspiration to craft your own gifts or simply love the idea of giving something with a bit of history, this series is for you.

Day 2 is a very simple, easy, inexpensive gift anyone can whip together. It is a gift within a gift and the bakers in your life will LOVE it.

Let’s take a closer look at what is in this gift within a gift.

For some reason I forgot to take a picture of the cookie dough package mix, oops!

This gift came in under $8.00 – WOW

  • New with tag tea towel – thrifted $1.00
  • Gingerbread man/women spatulas – thrifted $1.00
  • Snowflake silicone hot pad – thrifted $1.00
  • Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix – grocery store $2.00
  • Pair of red hot pads – Dollar Tree $1.75
  • Snowman Cookie Cutter – thrifted $0.50
  • Ribbon –  from my stash

Total cost of this gift = $7.25

How to fold a tea towel to hold other items?

Fold the tea towel inside out in half. Fold the sides of the tea towel to meet in the middle with just a touch of overlap. Fold the bottom of the tea towel up about two inches then fold the whole thing to meet the top of the tea towel. Carefully turn the tea towel inside out making sure there is a pocket in the front. IT WILL NOT stay together on it’s own so don’t worry you have not done it wrong.

Slide your gift elements into place and secure the whole thing with ribbon. I recommend starting by placing the larger and heavier gift items in the back. Place shorter and smaller items in front, arranging them in a way that all gifts are visible. I also used a theme and sought out items that were similar in color, this helps to make your gift feel more high-end and personal.

I would love it if you would join me on this festive journey as I explore the magic of thrifted, vintage and thoughtfully curated gift ideas.  Not only will these gifts delight your loved ones, but they’ll also inspire you to look at gifting in a whole new light.

Let’s make this holiday season memorable with gifts that have a story to tell and a touch of thrifted elegance. Stay tuned to see  what tomorrow will bring and let’s celebrate the spirit of giving with creativity and sustainability!
