Day 7 – 12 Days of Christmas 2023 – Trash to Treasure

Welcome back to our 12 Days of Christmas Trash to Treasure series! On Day 7, I am embracing the magic of the season by transforming a vintage mason jar into a whimsical snow globe. This delightful project incorporates a bottle brush tree, fake mini lights, and a sprinkle of fake snow, turning forgotten items into a charming centerpiece.

Materials Needed:

  1. Vintage mason jar
  2. Bottle brush tree
  3. Miniature string lights
  4. Fake snow
  5. E-6000 glue or glue gun
  • Ensure your vintage mason jar is clean and dry. The clear glass will showcase the winter wonderland inside.
  • Using E-6000 glue or a glue gun, attach the bottle brush tree to the inside of the mason jar lid. Allow it to dry completely before moving on to the next step.
  • Gently wind the miniature string lights around the bottle brush tree, securing them with a dab of glue as needed.
  • Carefully add fake snow around the base of the bottle brush tree. Use just enough to create a snowy landscape without obstructing the view.
  • Screw the mason jar lid back onto the jar, sealing the winter scene inside.
  • Place your vintage mason jar snow globe near a light source to illuminate the mini lights, casting a warm and enchanting glow.

Day 7 brings a touch of nostalgia with a vintage mason jar snow globe. Embrace the charm of repurposed items and spread the joy of the season with this DIY masterpiece. Stay tuned for more festive crafts in the coming days!
