Instructions:
1. Prepare the Envelope:
I started by cleaning and preparing the thrifted metal Christmas embellishment wall envelope. Ensure it’s in good condition and free from any dirt or debris. Mine was only dusty.
2. Fill with Brown Paper:
To provide a sturdy base for the greenery, stuff the envelope with brown paper or newspaper. This gives the fake greenery something to stick into and creates a fuller appearance.
3. Add Thrifted Greenery:
Take advantage of thrifted greenery (a steal at $1.00 per bag) to fill the envelope. Arrange the greenery to your liking, ensuring it creates a lush and festive look. Feel free to mix different types of greenery for added texture.
4. Hang on the Door:
Once your envelope is filled with greenery, find the perfect spot on your door to hang it. You can use the existing features of the envelope to easily hang it or attach a ribbon for a decorative touch.
5. Step Back and Admire:
If you decide to make something like this you can now stand back and admire your handiwork! A transformed simple thrifted metal envelope into an elegant and festive door decoration that is sure to welcome holiday cheer to your home.
My door is dark brown but I did take another picture of the wall envelope on one of my walls 😄
