Today’s post is a collaboration post with Robert the founder of Sawinery.net – They are a US based blog following the different trends in the woodworking & power tools industry. Check them out at https://www.sawinery.net/

There are so many great woodworking projects for beginners – so if you’ve been wanting to try your hand at a woodworking project and don’t know where to begin go check them out, all the projects are from fabulous fellow bloggers that have tried their hand at woodworking.

Despite the fact that everything in woodworking can be called DIY, looking at some masterpieces we can never imagine that they are made by hand. But, with processed wood, you can make miracles and all you have to do is to pick a DIY project for yourself.

Wood DIY will help you make your family and friends happy with a new furniture piece and make you happy with a new craft. There are many options for DIY projects, but here is the ultimate list of the most popular ones and the ones you will certainly need in your daily life.

Wooden Mobile Holder

If we could choose this would be one of the most used product you can make. We all use mobile phones 24h 7 days a week and this thing can make our lives easier. We are all familiar with the situation when you leave your phone somewhere and you can’t find it. This wooden project is demanding, can be in many shapes but it’s worth it.

Floating shelves

Free space in the house or extra crafts you don’t know where to put? This an ideal product for you. But, we have to admit. We all need shelves. Floating shelves will help you organize empty walls without taking too much space around the house. The project is not too demanding and it can be made with a variety of woods and wood colors.

Liebster Award

Liebster2

I got nominated for the Liebster award, woot, woot!!

Anika from Little Free  Monkeys found me and nominated me! Thanks Anika!

WHAT IS THE LIEBSTER AWARD?

It is an online award that is given to new bloggers with around 200 subscribers or so. It isn’t some grand affair, but it is a way of acknowledging other like-minded individuals who are working hard to make waves in their own areas of interest. Also, it is a great way to get to know the newbie blogger and of course, make new friends!

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Once you accept the nomination, you answer questions given to you by the person nominating you. Then you nominate another 3-5 bloggers and give them 8-10 questions to answer as well!

I would like to nominate:

Amelia from You Can Always Start Now

Vintage hunting tips – how to find those bargains….

I’ve loved vintage things since I was a child. I was raised mostly by my grandparents and grew up around a lot of really cool stuff. Old stoves that burned coal (that was sadly replaced with an electric stove), hardwood floors, wide wood moldings and wooden staircases, just to name a few.

Decades later I still love vintage things which is why I love the thrill of the vintage hunt. These days I try to sell more than I keep but lately that doesn’t seem to be the case as it is hard to part with something that causes such great memories.

If you want to learn more about my vintage side here is a link to an interview  by my friend and fellow blogger over at You Can Always Start Now.wandacollections

I spend a lot of time each month going to thrift stores, auctions and yard sales looking for fabulous vintage items and any other quirky things to sell.

In the next several paragraphs I am going to ramble on and offer some useful tips on how you too can find some awesome vintage stuff. Continue reading Vintage hunting tips – how to find those bargains….
