12 Days of A Wandaful Christmas, Day 2: Free Vintage Inspired Gift Tags

Last Friday we started this year’s series with a guide to thrifted Christmas gifts. Today is for the finishing touch: a gift tag that makes a simple parcel feel ready to give.

I made a free sheet of six vintage inspired Christmas tags in evergreen, cranberry red and warm gold. There are familiar greetings, plus “A little something” and “From my hands to yours” for the thrifted, repurposed and handmade gifts I love giving.

How I would use them

Print the page at 100% on letter-size cardstock, cut along the dotted outlines and punch the small circle near the top of each tag. Add a bit of ribbon, cotton string or twine. If you like a softer edge, trim just inside the dotted line.

Tie one onto a thrifted cookbook with new recipe cards, a basket of small treats, a handmade ornament or a parcel wrapped in reused fabric. You can also slip a tag under ribbon instead of punching it.

The tags have plenty of space for names, but I sometimes write one extra line on the back: “I saw this and thought of you.” That little note tells the story behind a thoughtfully chosen gift.

Wandaful_Christmas_Vintage_Gift_Tags print as many as you need for your own gifts.

I’ll be back next Friday with another free printable for our twelve-week Christmas series.

Do you save ribbons and gift wrap to use again? Tell me what you’ve kept from a past Christmas.
