Day 11 – 12 Days of Christmas – Trash to Treasure
Welcome back its Day 11 – 12 Days of Christmas 2023 – Trash to Treasure series!
Today I bring you a delightful Christmas craft idea: turning trash into treasure with mini bottle brush trees. I’ll take these tiny trees and elevate them by placing them on small wooden thread spools, embellishing them with velvet ribbon, and adding the finishing touch with small wooden snowflake accents.

I found a bag of small wooden spools of thread at the Goodwill bins,(I’m only using 5 of 20 here) I probably paid $1.00 for all of them. I bought my ribbons and snowflakes at my local Dollarama and purchased my mini bottle brush trees on amazon.
If you plan to make these, and leave the thread on the spool (optional), add a drop of glue to secure the thread to the spool. Cut the ribbon to wrap around the middle of the spool, secure with a dab of glue. Glue your mini bottle brush tree to the top of the spool. Embellish the front with a small wooden snowflake.

By repurposing mini bottle brush trees, small wooden thread spools, velvet ribbon, and wooden snowflake accents, I’ve turned ordinary items into holiday masterpieces.

Don’t mind my beat-up vintage jewellry box – still haven’t decided if it is getting a makeover or not lol

Stay tuned for one more days of thrifty and creative holiday transformations in our “12 Days of Christmas – Trash to Treasure” series!
