5 Easy DIY Easter Crafts for Adults

Spring is in the air, and Easter is just around the corner! If you’re looking for elegant, fun, and easy Easter crafts to add a festive touch to your home, you’re in the right place. These five DIY projects are perfect for adults who love to get creative with handmade décor.

1. Rustic Twine-Wrapped Easter Eggs

Add a cozy farmhouse touch to your Easter décor with these simple twine-wrapped eggs.

Materials:

• Plastic or foam eggs
• Twine or jute rope
• Hot glue gun
• Lace, faux flowers, pearls (optional)

Instructions:

1. Apply a small dab of hot glue at the base of the egg and secure the twine.
2. Wrap the twine around the egg, adding glue as needed.
3. Continue wrapping until fully covered, then secure the end with glue.
4. Decorate with lace, flowers, or pearls for an elegant look.

2. Pressed Flower Easter Candles

These candles make beautiful centerpieces and gifts!

Materials:

• Plain candles (white or pastel)
• Dried flowers
• Mod Podge or wax adhesive
• Paintbrush

Instructions:

1. Arrange dried flowers on the candle surface.
2. Apply Mod Podge or wax adhesive to press the flowers onto the candle.
3. Let dry completely before using.

3. Macramé Easter Egg Ornaments

These delicate macramé egg hangers make stunning boho-style Easter decorations.

Materials:

• Small decorative eggs or hard boiled, raw, or blown egg
• Yarn
• Scissors
• Hot glue gun

Instructions:

1. Cut eight strings of yarn that measure about 16 inches.
2. Tie them together in a knot about 2 inches from the bottom.
3. Tie pairs of strings together in a knot about half an inch from the group knot. You should now have four knots — four groupings of two strings.
4. Separate the duos and create new groups of two. Tie in a knot about half an inch from the previous knot.
5. Repeat step 4 and then add in your egg to your mini pouch.
6. Tie a knot on top to hold all strings together — this will make it easier to hang.

4. DIY Air Dry Clay Jewelry Bowls

These minimalist, air clay bowls are perfect for holding jewelry or small treats.

Materials:

• Air-dry clay
• Acrylic Craft Paint
• Paintbrush
• Bowl for shaping
• Rolling Pin
• Fine sandpaper

Instructions:

1. Roll out air dry clay on smooth surface. Roll to thickness of 1/4 inch.
2. Place bowl top side down on to clay. Cut around the edge of the bowl with a knife. Lift off clay gently and place inside the bowl. To make the nesting bowl set, I simply used my glass nesting mixing bowls from my kitchen. I used the smallest four.
3. Push clay into bowl until it touches the bottom and side. Smooth edges with your finger. Let clay dry overnight, up to a day until dry.
4. Pop out the dried clay from the glass bowls and sand the edges with the sandpaper.
5. Paint the bowls however you’d like with acrylic craft paint.

5. Bunny Burlap Hoop Wreath

Create a stunning Easter wreath in the shape of a bunny!

1. Attach your two embroidery hoops together, join them where the screws are and use the tape to attach them to each other.
2. Place the burlap in the embroidery hoops and trim it down, use hot glue to fold over the edges to finish the back.
3. Wrap the ribbon around the two hoops where you joined them, this gives the bunny a cute accessory and covers up the tape where the hoops are attached.
4. Cut a 9″x6″ rectangle. Cut down the center of the rectangle lengthwise, about halfway down. Then trim the ears to give them some shape.
5. For a finishing touch you can give your bunny a fluffy tail by making a yarn pom-pom.
