Why I Chose FOCUS as My Word of the Year Plus A Free Planner For You

As we step into a brand-new year, I’ve been reflecting on what I want this year to represent for me. After a lot of thought (and maybe a bit of overthinking… it’s kind of my thing), I’ve chosen- FOCUS

Why FOCUS?

Last year felt a bit scattered. I was trying to do all the things and ended up feeling like I didn’t do any of them particularly well. This year, I’m embracing the idea of narrowing my attention and being intentional about where my energy goes. My priorities include learning something new, launching an exciting project 🚀 (more about that as it comes to fruition), and savoring the moment.

Introducing the One-Page Daily Planner 📝

To help me stay on track, I designed a simple, effective planner that has become a game-changer for my day-to-day life. Here’s what’s included:

  • Schedule: Map out your day to stay on top of commitments.
  • Top Priorities: Narrow down to 2-3 key tasks per day to avoid overwhelm.
  • Gratitude Section: Reflect on what you’re grateful for to keep a positive mindset.
  • Notes: Use this flexible space for ideas, errands, or follow-ups.
  • What Did I Eat Today and a Water Intake Counter: Reminder to eat and drink some water (yes we all get busy and tend not to eat properly or drink enough water on a daily basis)

Why This Planner Works

The design is clean and clutter-free, helping you prioritize what’s meaningful. Plus, the gratitude section helps reframe even the most chaotic days by focusing on positives.

  1. Focus – what an awesome choice for this year. I typically do not use a single word, but this is a great reminder to stay focussed daily.
Thank you for sharing and participating at SSPS 343. See you at #344

  2. Great planner. Not overwhelming as three top priorities a day is enough. Like the extras like the water tracker. My word of the year is freedom. I want to embrace the changes coming up and that means embracing freedom and making it count.
