Eek, I’m so excited that my 12 Days of Christmas has begun. I usually try to stick to a theme each year, but this year I am going back to the basics of why I started my blog and that was to inspire you to make, bake, create and decorate. Over the next four weeks I will share some simple, easy and budget friendly ideas just in time for the holidays.
I am starting off with an adorable, simple paper (cardstock) angel. This cute little gal makes a great tree decoration. You could make a whole bunch and and string them together to make a garland. It is surprisingly elegant looking and simple and easy enough for the kids to help make. Continue reading Day 1 – A WandafulThing 12 Days of Christmas 2020
Over the next 12 Days you can look forward to posts that will include easy, elegant and inexpensive decorating ideas, craft ideas and gift ideas.
I’m starting off with this adorable Mini Hat Ornament.
I first saw it on Pinterest via goodknits.com. They are so easy and cute you’ll want to make lots before Christmas.
Here are the supplies you’ll need:
2. Toilet paper or paper towel tube
3. Pencil or pen
4. Measuring tape or ruler
To begin, flatten out your toilet paper tube. With your ruler measure sections that are 3/4 of an inch wide. Use your pen to mark the width and then with your scissors make your cuts.
Then measure and cut yarn strands approximately 12 inches long (I used about 40 strands per hat).
Next slip the loop from one strand of yarn through your paper tube. Loop it around the two ends and pull tight. Keep going all the way around the tube. Make sure you have enough strands to cover the paper but don’t squish the yarn too closely together.
