A WandafulThing 12 Days of Christmas 2017 – Day 9

Welcome to A WandafulThing 12 Days of Christmas – Day 9

I am thrilled to be able to bring you A WandafulThing 12 Days of Christmas for the 4th year in a row. I’m excited as this year the theme of all of my posts will be about thrifted, gifted (diy) and vintage items and ideas that you can give for Christmas presents.

I love today’s clipart, those 9 ladies dancing made me smile.  Maybe if you give someone a gift similar to today’s gift maybe they will dance around too.

Today is Day 9 and this gift falls into the “thrifted” and “gifted” category. This gift is great for anybody on your list that loves to BBQ (no matter what the weather). I bought the never used/never worn apron at a thrift store and found the”new” BBQ brushes at a yard sale for $0.25 each in the summer.  The tag on each brush has a recipe for homemade BBQ sauce, which I planned on making but ran out of time, so I included a bottle of  our “go to” bottled BBQ sauce which is by Cattle Boyz and we use it in lots of our recipes, not just when we BBQ.

A WandafulThing 12 Days of Christmas 2017 – Day 7

Welcome to A WandafulThing 12 Days of Christmas – Day 7

I am thrilled to be able to bring you A WandafulThing 12 Days of Christmas for the 4th year in a row. I’m excited as this year the theme of all of my posts will be about thrifted, gifted (diy) and vintage items as Christmas presents.

Today is Day 7 and this gift falls into the “thrifted” and “gifted” category. This gift is for my mother, who is the great grandmother to my daughter’s three children. A beautiful boy who is 2 and a half and a set of twins 4 months old. This gift was actually the one that cost the least amount of money but I am sure it will be the one most treasured, especially for a person who doesn’t really need anything.

I found two very similar photo frames at Goodwill for $2.00 and a small wooden plaque for $0.50.  I soaked the top of the plaque with a wet rag and the paper picture peeled right off.

I printed and cut two pictures to fit into the frames and printed, cut and mod podged the third picture onto the little wooden plaque.

I just know Great Nanny Louise is going to love this present. I smiled the whole time I was putting it together. Three adorable faces we all love.

I invite you to come back and see what Day 8 brings.

Thrifted, gifted and vintage gifts are A WandafulThing, unique and one of a kind.

Day 5: O Christmas Tree Wall Hanging

O Christmas Tree Wall Hanging

While I was searching for the words to the song ‘O Christmas Tree’ I came upon an intriguing post that gave all the instructions for an O Christmas Tree wall hanging that was just a little bit different than simply printing out an image and inserting it into a frame.

It’s adorable, simple and inexpensive to make. Check out Ann’s Entitled Life here for the full instructions. You will need cardstock, a printer, cardboard, green yarn and a picture frame.

I wasn’t sure about the color of my frame until I put the print in it.  I really like the pale frame as it doesn’t distract from the green yarn tree.

I am thinking I might need to make two and give one away at Christmas.
