Day 8- 12 Days of Christmas 2019-Pinterest Inspired

               A Wandaful Thing 12 Days of Christmas 2019 – Day 8

I’m so excited to share what I have been up to so far in my 12 Days of Christmas Pinterest Inspired projects. Today is Day 8 and I bring you another ornament. This one has a nautical theme.

Day 8

I found some clear glass ornaments at the thrift store and swirled white acrylic paint on the inside to make the ornament white.

I purchased an SVG file from thehungryjpeg.com you can find that here. I changed it up a bit and adjusted it to fit my ornament.

I used my Cricut Maker to cut out some navy  permanent vinyl and adhered it to the ornament. I found this wonderful contrasting ribbon at Walmart.

I think the ribbon was the perfect accent for the ornament. I had some blue striped twine in my craft stash and decided to use that to hang the ornament from the tree. I really like the way it turned out.

This was my inspiration which can be found here for sale at etsy.

So what do you think, was my version a pass or a fail?? In my books it’s a definite pass.

It’s been a great deal of fun preparing for this event, and I can’t wait to show you what Wandaful Things I’ll be up to next. :)

Day 6: DIY Table Decoration

DIY Table Decoration

How to decorate without breaking the bank (using thrift store finds, of course). Sometimes you can make the most elegant and easy Christmas centerpiece with things you already have and thrift store or auction items.

I was using this white milk glass footed dish (I paid $4.99 at a thrift store)to hold keys and trinkets by my back door, but with Christmas fast approaching I decided to use it in a different way.

I already had battery operated lights and vintage multi-color ornaments. I tossed them all together and wrapped some artificial garland around the bottom. This could be used on a dinner table, a coffee table, end table or a mantle. You are only limited by your imagination.

If you are out thrifting and you spot something similar, you might think twice before passing it up.

We recently  had two  feet of snow….that I don’t think we really expected :), ok perhaps I was the one oblivious to the actual amount expected.

I think the snow adds a bit of class to the pictures, don’t you??? 🙂
