12 Days of Kindness — An Instagram Challenge
In November, I launched something special on Instagram:
12 Days of Kindness — a simple challenge encouraging small acts of generosity, gratitude, and connection.

It wasn’t about big gestures, fancy budgets, or perfection.
It was about showing that kindness is doable for everyone, every day — and that it starts right where we are. 💛
💌 The Daily Kindness Prompts
Each day focused on one small, meaningful action:
| Day | Kindness Challenge |
|---|---|
| 1 | Write a handwritten note ✍️ |
| 2 | Surprise someone with a treat ☕🍪 |
| 3 | Donate a thrifted essential 🧤 |
| 4 | Leave a cheerful sticky note 💛 |
| 5 | Pay a compliment 😊 |
| 6 | Donate a can of food 🥫 |
| 7 | Share a local business 🛍️ |
| 8 | Give a genuine thank you 🙏 |
| 9 | Declutter + donate one item 📦 |
| 10 | Share a helpful resource 🌐 |
| 11 | Send a voice message 🎤 |
| 12 | Gift something handmade or thrifted 🎁 |
Each image was posted on Instagram with a caption and call to action… and the responses weren’t great. I’m sure that’s because I don’t have a big following on instagram not because people aren’t doing heartwarming acts of kindness.
💭 What I Learned
Over these 12 days, I was reminded that:
✨ Kindness is contagious
✨ We don’t need more, we just need to use what we
already have
✨ Thrifted and handmade gifts carry more heart than
price tags
✨ People are craving connection — sometimes they just
need a nudge to start
