WELCOME TO DAY 4 OF MY 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS DECORATING, CRAFT AND GIFT IDEA CHALLENGE.
Here is a quick glimpse at my outdoor decorations so far this year.
We recently had two feet of snow….that I don’t think we really expected :), ok perhaps I was the one oblivious to the actual amount expected.
I think the snow adds a bit of class to the pictures, don’t you??? 🙂

WELCOME TO DAY 3 OF MY 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS DECORATING, CRAFT AND GIFT IDEA CHALLENGE.
Simple, easy, elegant and sooooooo inexpensive.
Have you ever just been somewhere (in this case the Dollar Tree) and you see something that is completely plain and simple and an idea pops in your head. That’s how these candlesticks came about.
I was at the Dollar Tree picking up gift bags and tissue and I saw these little jingle bell bracelets.
Not knowing what I’d do with them (wear one, use as a stocking stuffer or perhaps a cat toy) I tossed a few in the cart and thought to myself, oh you’ll find something to use them for later. I walked by a box on the floor that had glass candlesticks sitting in them (they hadn’t even made it to the shelf).
My first thought was – these are those candlesticks people make the Redneck wine glasses with, I should buy some and make Redneck wine glasses for next summer on the patio.
I put them in the cart and put the bracelets on top of them and BOOM – lightbulb….I wondered if the bracelets would fit around the candlestick??? Yep they sure did.
Now when I got home, I thought I was pretty smart, all that and a bag of chips!!! I decided to check on-line and Pinterest to see if anyonelse had done this and OF COURSE they did…..dah!!!
So to all you other crafty folks out there I SALUTE you!!! Well done, pat on the back (insert applause here).
Even though I wasn’t the first to come up with this, I still think it is A Wandaful Thing!!!
WELCOME TO DAY 2 OF MY 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS DECORATING, CRAFT AND GIFT IDEA Challenge.
I scored these lovely used and somewhat rusty canning jar lids at a local thrift store for 5 cents a piece. I picked up the picture frame for free at the “Use It or Lose It” event (same place I picked up the vinyl records – re yesterday’s post).
My passion is to reuse or repurpose things in anyway I can. A ton of my inspiration comes from fellow bloggers (who have fabulous ideas) and of course Pinterest. Continue reading Day 2: Canning Jar Lid Christmas Tree Wall Art
Welcome to Day 1 of my 12 days of Christmas decorating, craft and gift idea challenge.
In October I shared with you some of the awesome things I picked up at a “Use It or Lose It” event for” free” in a town nearby. One of those things was some old vinyl LP records.
I first saw this idea on Grassy Branch Farm’s Etsy Shop and wanted to order one but unfortunately she was unable to ship to Canada.

I picked this little guy up at an auction in the summer , along with three other smaller stools for $20.00 total . It was being used for standing on to reach things in the upper cupboards (yes I am on the short side)and sometimes for sitting on while putting on or taking off my shoes, but ever since I brought it home, I knew it was destined for something more…..

I discovered today that equal parts table salt and any kind of hand cream makes an awesome hand scrub that leaves your hands feeling great AND removes any dried paint that remains on your hands after an afternoon of painting…. Continue reading DIY: Hand scrub – super easy
