Reloved Thrift Store Items
I want to share with you two quick upcycles I recently completed.
I found this wooden plant holder at a thrift store last year, it was $1.50. I’m sure you could use it for many other things. It’s going to get sprayed with Rustoleum Linen Chalk Paint.
This little office item was free at a local town-wide garage sale. I am going to use it to hold sticky note pads, I never seem to be able to find one when I need it. It’s going to get a coat of Krylon Watermelon Spray paint.
I recently purchased an HPLV spray paint gun and used it to paint the wooden plant holder. I mixed three parts paint to one part water. Here is the spray gun I bought, if you are curious.
After it got two coats of paint and it was dry, I distressed it with 220 grit sandpaper and then sprayed it with two coats of Polycrylic. As this might end up outside, I want to make sure it will stand up to the weather.
For my free office item, I decided to spray paint it a bright color. It is rather small and didn’t take too much paint.
I really like this bright pink color – it’s going to look fabulous and I can’t wait to use it in my office.

They both look great. The office item is great. I use a napkin holder for note paper and sticky notes. Love the color
Thanks – I can’t wait to see how it looks in my office tomorrow 🙂
