Cake anyone?? – It’s ok, it’s my birthday!!!

I love CAKE, it is my favorite dessert and believe me I have eaten (and enjoyed) plenty of cake in my lifetime…since it is my birthday, I thought this would be a great post to talk about cake and share some pictures of cakes made by a very close and dear friend of mine.

Her name is Ferne (who also use to be my favorite boss) one of her hobbies is to make and decorate cakes. She is one of the smartest, busiest, most in demand and most energetic people I have ever known and this is just in her day job.

A couple of years ago, one of her friends asked her to go to a Wilton cake decorating course at their local Michaels Craft Stores. The course was a four week course.  It turned out to be one of the best extra curricular activities she ever did – a way to channel her energy, so to speak 🙂

I want to thank her for the cake she made for me and for allowing me to show some of her work.

I think it’s time we go put the kettle on and have a cup of tea and a slice of cake, good idea, don’t you think? I really do wish you were close by to come and enjoy some cake with me.
