WELCOME TO DAY 9 OF MY 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS DECORATING, CRAFT AND GIFT IDEA CHALLENGE.

If you have been reading this blog for any length of time then you probably know that I have a hard time throwing things out, I prefer to recycle, reuse or repurpose whenever possible. I had a pretty big stash of toilet tissue paper tubes waiting to be turned into wall art or Christmas ornaments.

This batch was used for some tree ornaments and some of them I attached to gift bags as an extra little decoration.

All that is required to make these ornamen is:

Toilet tissue paper tubes, scissors, glue gun or white craft glue, modge podge, glitter, string or ribbon for hanging.

Flatten the tubes, cut into 1/4 to 1/2 inch strips, glue five of them together to form a petal. You might like them like this or if you want it to look fuller you can take five more strips and fold them in half and glue them in between the petals that you just glued together. When dry you can add a button or some sort of embellishment in the middle to hide any misalignments.

Brush on modge podge and cover in glitter. When dry put on a ribbon for a hanger and you’re done.
